This Finnish company X was started as a groundwood pulp mill in 1865 on the banks of the Tammerkoski rapids in Tampere town and started manufacturing paper. The company was later relocated to the town of X on the banks of the X nvirta river, where it got its current day name. It was named after the river, which in turn was named after an old Finnish word meaning the animal Sable. X also briefly produced M61 gas masks for the Finnish army. The present day company was formed by the conglomerate of this company with a rubber company and a cable works company and today produces something totally different from rubber or wood pulp.
